I’ve heard a lot about 3D printing over the past couple of years. However, I have never come across a 3D printed item to the best of my knowledge. I was really intrigued to see these personalised Christmas baubles from The Unique Design Company.
3D printed objects are formed by the laying down of successive layers of material. The printer follows a digital design. This innovation brings new possibilities almost every day, and the technology is being used to build anything from car parts to food. A nice bonus to this creation is that we can also have nice items like these personalised baubles in the home.
They are really lightweight, so perfect for hanging on Christmas trees. They’re also really pretty.
I love the heart-shaped baubles, with mine and Sean’s initials in. I also really like the blending of such a modern technology with a traditional design. The baubles have a rustic look to them with the twine string, and fit in easily with other Christmas decorations.
There are several different designs and colours to choose from. New mums will like the baby baubles, where you can have a bauble printed with your child’s name and year of birth. The Unique Design Company also create personalised wedding toppers, and dog biscuit cutters!
