Ole Henriksen Lemon Strip Flash Peel | Review

If your skin is currently suffering from oiliness, dullness, flaking skin, enlarged pores, pigmentation, or all of the above, I have a review and a recommendation for you. The Ole Henriksen Lemon Strip Flash Peel is an effective mask that will tackle all of those skincare woes.Ole Henriksen

Powered by glycolic, lactic and fruit acids, this mask will make a noticeable difference in your skin after just one application. It comes with a little brush that you use to scoop out a small amount of product and spread it evenly across the face. Leave for ten minutes and then wash off. The result is smoother, brighter skin.

Good for acne-prone skin

I am currently taking roaccutane which has left my skin very flaky. This is the only product in my arsenal I have used so far which has actually banished the flakiness for 24 hours. It doesn’t sound like a long time but with roaccutane the skin peels constantly and nothing will stop it. The Ole Henriksen Lemon Strip Flash Peel would also be a good choice for people using a topical retinol treatment, which has the same effect on the skin. It tingles a little bit in places, as you would expect from something with these ingredients. It’s nothing too uncomfortable though and passes quickly.

The other benefits are unclogged pores, reduction in pigmentation or acne scarring, and a boost in cell renewal. It contains algae extract to soothe and calm, and liquorice extract to brighten.

I have come to love the brand Ole Henriksen. I’ve been fortunate to be able to try a few products from the range. I think this is one of the stand-out products of the whole Ole Henriksen range. I love this clear gel-like mask, and am sad mine is coming to its end soon. It is costly at £35. It has lasted me for months however, with use every couple of weeks or so, and I feel like I’ve really had my money’s worth. With the visible benefits it brings – smoother, brighter, refined and even-toned skin – I think it is worth it. It’s a complete facial in a jar.

I bought mine online from Feel Unique. (ETA August 2017: this product has now been discontinued which is a shame. However, it seems to have been replaced by the Ole Henriksen Instant Transformation Lemon Facial Peel. It doesn’t seem to be available yet in the UK, but can be ordered from Sephora).

Oh no, what a shame it has been discontinued. I really hate it when they do that when you really like a product
