The Best Health And Wellness Professionals To Have On Speed Dial

When it comes to your health and well-being, you should always look for the best. It is a good idea to have a list of people to call upon for self-care when your body is hurting, in physical pain, feeling stressed out or feeling like crap. To ensure you get the best care, make your body a better place to be and get back to or do the things you care about better. It is a good idea to have a list of people to call upon should you need them to ensure you get the best care to help your health and well-being remain strong.

There are many areas to consider around health and wellness that can feel overwhelming, from diet to sleep quality to mental health to spinal and nerve health.

This is why it can be so beneficial to have a list of professionals saved on your phone so that you know who to call when you want or need someone. This can also ensure that you’ve got all your research done in advance, meaning there will be no delay in allowing you to contact the professional you need.

GP

A great first port of call with anything that impacts your health is your GP. Whether you’re worried about symptoms or planning for the future, talking to your GP can be a great way to get advice and help. That said, you shouldn’t necessarily take up your GP’s time whenever you have a question or minor issue. Anything medical, severe or persistent should always be run past your GP.

Therapist

If you struggle with your mental health, talking to a therapist can help. Therapists help you to work through what you’re feeling, unpick different behaviours and develop healthy coping mechanisms to keep you mentally fit and strong. Some people see a therapist regularly, no matter what is happening in their lives, while others have a therapist, they trust who they call on when they’re struggling with events in their lives.

Chiropractor

Life often comes with aches and pains, feeling stressed and not sleeping or just feeling like crap that can make daily life difficult and the things you care about more difficult or unable to do. Sometimes these resolve themselves, while others require professional help to overcome. A great family Chiropractor is an excellent option for families, professionals, business owners, retirees, adventurists, and sports people. Chiropractors help correct subluxations that can cause back pain, neck and shoulder pain, headaches and migraines, sciatica, sports injuries, pregnancy-related aches and pains.

Some Chiropractors help parents help their children. With such issues as excessively or inconsolably crying infants and babies, infants who are unable to turn their heads equally or favouring one side, which can later result in an asymmetrical head shape (plagiocephaly). Reduced spinal mobility causes difficult breastfeeding or bottle feeding and babies who are unable to sleep comfortably on their back, which would otherwise be protective against sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Several studies have shown no adverse effects from chiropractic care on the paediatric population. One major study of over 7000 treatments found no adverse events, with the most common side effect reported from treatment being better sleep. For a new parent, that can be a game changer.

Chiropractic involves gentle adjustments to the spine, extremity, jaw and skull to improve the way people move, help resolve pain so they can continue to do the things they care about better, and many swear by its effectiveness. Take a look at Life Balance Chiropractic Centre to learn more about the incredible benefits.

Nutritionist

Eating well can make a massive difference to our mental and physical well-being, but it can often be tricky to know what best to include in your meal plans. This is particularly true for anyone with health issues that impact the foods they can and can’t eat. A nutritionist can be invaluable in helping you develop a meal plan that will keep you strong and healthy for years to come and excellent help when you run out of healthy meal ideas to cook. Take a look at Barbara cox to learn more about great nutrition.

Yoga Instructor

Yoga can be an incredibly beneficial form of exercise, helping strengthen the body, increase flexibility, and promote a calm and relaxed mindset. The path to becoming a yogi can be long, but the benefits are incredible throughout your journey. Finding a local yoga studio and instructor can be an excellent way to get into the practice and ensure your form is correct and as beneficial as possible. Take a look at one for all yoga. They have great teachers.

Personal Trainer

If you want to hit a specific fitness goal, finding the motivation by yourself can be challenging. A personal trainer can be the perfect solution, as they will be able to develop a personalised training plan to help you achieve your goals. They are also excellent motivators, keeping you on track and inspired as you go.

Masseuse

There’s nothing quite like a massage to help you relax and unwind after a stressful day, week or month. Massage can be a great way to treat yourself and work out the tension in your body. Knowing a quality masseuse to call can be a great option to help you keep stress-free and happy. There are many types of massage and masseuses out there to choose from, so it may help to look at the choices in your local area. Life Balance Chiropractic Centre has some great learning resources on this.

Aromatherapist

Aromatherapy can be a fun and unique way to relax and unwind. Aromatherapists use essential oils to help you achieve different goals in your health. While this type of non-traditional wellness practice can be helpful for your mental health, it is vital to remember that it is not a suitable alternative to medical treatment. That being said, our sense of smell can make a big difference to our mindsets, and a good aromatherapist will be able to create unique blends for you to try out.

Sleep Expert

Getting good quality sleep is critical to our overall health and well-being. If you struggle with your sleep, many possible issues can be blamed. Talking to someone with expertise in sleep can be invaluable to help you get to the bottom of sleep issues, getting you back to sleeping soundly at night. Sleep experts can vary from doctors to therapists, so it is a good idea to research and meet with a few professionals to discuss your concerns and see what kind of sleep expert will best help you overcome them.
