Spring Cleaning Tips: What to do before spring cleaning begins

With Spring fast approaching, all of those jobs you’ve put off are looming to be done. So along with the annual declutter and pulling out of the lawnmower there are a few other jobs that also need to be included within your list, that may have been overlooked.

To ensure nothing gets missed, here is a recap of spring cleaning tips. These are jobs to do before starting your spring cleaning checklist. These will make sure it continues to run effectively and efficiently.

Check The Roof And Clean The Gutters

Although the exterior may not be the first job that pops into your mind now the winter months are behind you, it is an important place to start. You need to ensure your roof ventilation is working as it should be along with clearing the gutters of all leaves that have lingered there since the previous fall.

By doing this you are keeping the quality of your roof intact and ensuring the vents will continue to do their jobs and keep your future energy costs low and ensure that any spring rain fall can drain away effortlessly as well.

Inside Cleaning Product Re-Stock

Before, under taking the mammoth job of spring cleaning the inside of your property, you want to pull out your cleaning products and make sure you have to all that you will need. Lets be honest, no one really enjoys spring cleaning until it is over, so to keep your mind on the task at hand and not have to create additional jobs or errands when your mid-clean it is best to check you have all your favourite must have products to hand.

Best way to do this is to break it down into rooms. Then decide what products are needed to support a thorough clean. From there you’ll know what needs to be purchased in advanced and have the time to stock up.

Plan Which Room To Clean At A Time

Like all jobs, the best way to ensure nothing gets missed and you keep to the task at hand is to have a trusty list and plan in place. By doing this you can work systematically through each room and make sure nothing gets missed along the way or that you don’t end up duplicating and re-cleaning same areas.

If it’s your office you’re planning to deep clean why not call in experts instead to give you a hand.

Create A Music Playlist

Who doesn’t love to turn the music on and dance around the house whilst cleaning. Before you set days aside to clean your home, take the time to put together a playlist.

There are so many benefits of listening to music when you’re cleaning, it is worthwhile setting that 30 minutes aside to ensure the music your listening to is actually something enjoyable. You want it to remain upbeat and for the music to carry you through the worst of those cleaning tasks you are yet still to tackle, whilst keeping you in a positive upbeat mood throughout.
