Have you ever wondered what hair colour would look absolutely perfect with your skin undertone and kind of beauty? Knowing that it is not really easy and you can feel overwhelmed, especially now when the colour trends are changing constantly and we have got a huge selection of hair colours offered by hair stylists.

Choosing the right hair color to make you feel good about yourself is a difficult task. You should take into account not only your personal preferences and the newest trends but also your age, skin undertone, hair type, and much more. Today, we will be sharing some helpful hints on how to know what hair color suits you well, so that you can highlight your features.

First step: identify your skin’s tone – it will help you a lot!

The first and most important thing to do is to identify your skin tone and natural hair colour. Please note that your natural hair color can change over time as a result of a number of factors, like sun exposure or exposure to seawater. Essentially all hair loses its pigment with age, which contributes to gray hair.

However, before you choose a new hair color, you must first determine your skin undertones. There are three main categories that most people fall into:

  • cool – red and pink with bluish tint,
  • neutral – olive,
  • warm – yellow, peachy, and golden tones,

Figuring out what kind of them you have does not look easy at the beginning, but we are going to share some useful tips on how to do it. First of all, wash your face, remove the makeup, wait 15 minutes, and let your skin rest. Then take a look at your face in natural light. Observe your jaw line to find your skin’s color. The jaw is usually less affected by color changes than the skin on your face. rest of your skin face. Take a look at yourself in the mirror and try to figure out which tones are heavier. Are they warm, cool, or neutral?

The other way to check what your skin tone is is to do the silver/gold test. Check out what jewelry suits you better. If silver looks better with your complexion, you likely have cool undertones. Gold, on the other hand, will look better on people with warm skin tones.

Warm skin tones

Warm skin tones tend to look great when paired with a warm hair color as well. If your skin is fair, you can choose hair colors like sand, beige, and champagne. Futhermore cool blonde shades will look fantastic on porcelain-skinned gals with blue eyes colour. Those icy hues would neutralize the redness of the skin. If your skin colour is medium or deep, you can go with dark chocolate, chestnut, mocha, caramel, golden brown, or butterscotch. If your skin has a warm tone, you can also choose a cooler brown tone that helps make yellow undertones look creamier.

Cool skin tones

If your skin is fair, you can go with gold, caramel, amber, honey, or butterscotch. They will look fantastic with your cool skin undertone and make you feel younger. If your skin is fair and you want to go blonde, choose strawberry blondes, honey, or gold blondes. The cool blacks will look stunning on skin, with a deep color and a cool undertone. However, adding warm, chocolaty tones is a nice way to warm up the skin as well. So if your skin is a middle or deep colour, choose hair colours like dark mocha, brown-black, or deep black.

Neutral skin tones

If your skin is pale and has a natural undertone, you can choose the strawberry blonde which will look amazing and boost your natural features. Another great hair colours for fair, natural skin are copper, amber, rust, and russet. If your skin coulor is medium or deep, you can go with warm colours like caramel, honey, golden brown, amber, cinnamon, or even auburn red.
