Weddings are so exciting. They are the signs of something new. These events bring family and friends together to celebrate the new couple. Weddings also take a lot of planning. Here are some suggestions to help you check a few things off your wedding to-do list.

Think About the Decor
You have probably been to enough weddings or seen them on TV to know a thing or two about what you want for your wedding decor. In the past, there were not many options, but today, you can do anything you can envision.
If you have an affinity for the beautiful signs of spring, you should consider renting blossom trees for your rehearsal, wedding, or reception venues. They add a touch of spring along with whimsy – not to mention that they will look gorgeous in the photographs.
Think Differently About the Photos
So often, a professional photographer only has everyone pose for staged photos before the wedding. While you probably do want those pictures, there are also some others that you should have taken. At the reception, ask your photographer to gather everyone from the respective sides of each of your families together for large family photographs. And be sure to take very special ones with your grandparents and other older family members.
The photographers should also wander around the wedding venues both before and after the ceremony and throughout the reception to capture candid and impromptu moments. These will help form special memories of your special day.
Interview Your Guests
Your wedding will bring in a lot of family members and friends into one place, so this is the perfect time to interview them. You can hire a videographer or task a special and trusted friend to do the job. Give them a guest list and ask them to interview everyone in attendance. Always start with the older guests and those with young children, as they may leave earlier than the rest of the attendees.
Here are some questions to ask:
- What is your name?
- Where do you live?
- How do you know the bride and groom?
- How did you first meet them?
- What is a special memory you have of one or both of them?
- Do you have any tips for their marriage?
- Is there anything else you would like to add or share?
These videos will take up a lot of room, but they will be special. They can offer up some family history, humor, and good advice.
Once the perfect proposal has been made and accepted, the work and planning to make your wedding memorable will begin right away. You can create the wedding of your dreams by focusing on more than the big things. Of course, the ring and dress, the DJ or band, and the venue and food are integral and important parts of the planning process and the special day, but there is more. The smaller details, such as the decor, photographs, and videos, matter, too. Make your wedding day wonderful and the memories long-lasting.
