The Godmorgon Mirrored IKEA Bathroom Cabinet

Last updated: March 14, 2026

This IKEA bathroom cabinet, from their Godmorgon range, is one of the most popular items from the Swedish brand. It’s a large and very stylish cabinet with mirrors both inside and out. Despite it being fairly shallow in depth, you can fit a lot in to it due to the height.

If you’re looking for bathroom storage ideas, I’ve included lots of photos of my cabinet in this post so you can see just how much storage you get with it.

The Godmorgon IKEA Bathroom Mirror Cabinet

Bathroom storage is something I know lots of us struggle with. There’s so much to fit in a bathroom – a bath, shower, sink, toilet, towel rails, mirror – that often we don’t have enough room to add in cupboards and shelves.

When we moved in to this house, the bathroom had only one cupboard which is under the sink. Without the budget to completely re-do the bathroom, we tried to fit in as much storage as possible.

I had seen the IKEA Godmorgon cabinet on a few YouTube videos before, and visited IKEA to see it in person before buying. If you don’t live near an IKEA and would need to order from them online, I hope the information in this post helps you to make a decision.

My Sink Area Before

To help you see just how large this is, below is a photo of my bathroom sink area as it was when we moved in.

The shaver socket was already there. It was pretty dark and dreary so we brightened up the woodwork with white paint.

Small bathroom storage ideas for a bathroom with minimal cabinets

You can see here that the door to the bathroom opens in, and ends up right next to the sink unit. I wanted to get the biggest IKEA bathroom cabinet I could without it looking silly.

The cabinet had to be offset slightly above the sink because of where the bathroom door is.

I initially thought this wouldn’t look right, but actually it’s fine and I don’t notice it being off centre.

The IKEA Godmorgon Cabinet Sizes

This cabinet comes in three different sizes. We have the medium-sized version, which is 80x14x96cm.

You can also buy a smaller version, at 60x14x96cm and a larger version at 100x14x96cm. As you can see, there is a lot crammed into this!

This bathroom cabinet is mirrored both inside and out. This means it reflects a lot of light.

Combining that with painting the bathroom white, it has really brightened up the room.

Adjustable Shelving

This cabinet has so much storage space inside. It’s very tall which really helps you to fit a lot in.

The shelves are all adjustable so you can change the height between them. This is great for fitting in taller items like bubble bath.

We can also fit our toothbrushes in (we use fully ultrasonic toothbrushes), sitting in their chargers. There is not enough room on our sink for these so I am so pleased that they can go inside the Godmorgon cabinet.

Chanel Allure inside the IKEA bathroom cabinet

The shaving charger on the wall was right in the middle of where the IKEA bathroom cabinet was due to go.

Luckily, because the back is plywood (or something similar to plywood) it was fairly easy for Sean to cut a hole out of the back. This fitted perfectly over the shaver socket.

We can now charge our toothbrushes while they are in the cabinet. The plywood material is covered in a thin mirrored film so you don’t have to cut through glass to do something like this.

{We were still in the middle of painting the bathroom when I took these photos, and had kept the protective blue film on the sides of the cabinet to protect it from the paint. Ignore that! Underneath the blue film the sides are also mirrored}.

A Great Small Bathroom Storage Idea

Despite being so tall, this IKEA bathroom mirror cabinet is only 14cm deep. This means it sits fairly snug against the wall which is perfect for small bathrooms.

Being a cabinet and a mirror, it combines two bathroom essentials in one so is a great space saver!

I love this cabinet. It is very expensive for IKEA, but the quality is very good. I have had mine for almost four years now and it still looks like new despite daily use.

It fits so much in, from all my face masks to my cleansers, bubble baths and flannels. All of Sean’s toiletries all sit in here too.

The bathroom was initially painted in blue and grey, with dark wood cabinets and trim. Because our house is long and narrow, not much light comes in so I wanted to brighten the area up. A large mirrored cabinet is one way of doing this.

Where To Buy This

You can order the IKEA Godmorgon Cabinet from their website, as well as buy it in their stores.

I really like this cabinet – well worth buying the right one even if more expensive, especially as it has adjustable shelves. We ended up having to buy two smaller ones and then fixing a glass shelf between. I really wish I had seen this first.

It looks fabulous and is so capacious. I like the height of it as well as its stylish exterior. I love trips to Ikea but haven’t been for a while.

Just bought and installed two units in my tiny bathroom and loved how easy they were to assemble and how much light they reflect. While they don’t have the depth to hold our Water Piks, they helped us declutter and organize the rest of our personal hygiene items beautifully. And they feel much more solid and sturdy than I initially expected they would. Highly recommended.
