Superdrug’s Layering Lab is a collection of body mists, perfumes, lotions, shower and bath products in scents that are copies or ‘dupes’ of some popular designer fragrances.
These include Alien by Thierry Mugler, Black Opium by YSL, and Stella by Stella McCartney.
Below is the list of the Superdrug Layering Lab names with their designer perfume matches.

There’s been a lot of excitement about these body mists being dupes for expensive designer perfumes.

I first got interested when I heard that Layering Lab’s Exotic Body Mist is a dupe for YSL’s Black Opium.
Although I love that particular perfume, I have never bought it. I couldn’t pass up trying a dupe for it that only costs Β£3.99!
So if for example you love the Thierry Mugler Alien perfume Superdrug has a much, much cheaper option to try the scent out for a while and see if it suits you.

Creating New Fragrances By Layering Superdrug Body Spray
As the name Layering Lab suggests, you can layer these body mists to create new scents.
I first got the idea of layering fragrances from the same brand from Jo Malone. Of course, her perfumes (as fabulous as they are) are extremely expensive.
These body mists are very much more affordable.

Being body mists and not eau de parfum, of course, they will not last as long as your favourite designer perfumes.
I like that these are so affordable, however, and you can afford to spritz them several times a day for less than Β£5 each.
The bonus, alongside them smelling lovely, is that they are cruelty free too.

You can buy these directly online from Superdrug or in the stores. Superdrugβs website is awesome because you only need to spend Β£25 to get free delivery, or Β£15 if you are one of their Health & Beautycard members.

I remember buying copy cat fragrances many years ago with pocket money. I’m sure these are much better quality than anything I spent Β£2.50 on back then!
Yes, me too! I’m pretty sure I used to buy them from market stalls and once from a man on Oxford Street. These are definitely much, much nicer!
I bought the Alien dupe last week, it was half price too so I got it for Β£1.88 and it is sooo strong! My friend turned up to a party with it on and I genuinely thought she was wearing Alien so I went out and bought a bottle and I love it π not tried the others yet though
These look nice I have not tried or seen these before
They’re really lovely, definitely worth a sniff next time you’re in Superdrug!
I will be trying these especially the YSL Black Opium dupe!
That one is my favourite! I love it.
They look a great bargain and ideal for presents
They would be fantastic stocking fillers at Christmas π
Oooh I’m going to look for these!
Very interesting! I like the look of this idea. I am very picky about perfumes however this gives many new ideas. I am very attracted to the colours too as I love colour
Love the pink one! So glad I read this.
So glad you told us about these- can’t wait to try them! They’ll be so much lighter to spritz on during the day rather than a heavy expensive perfume!
Perfume is always on my BFFs xmas list, I love the small ones you can get as stocking filters
Another, first for me, never seen these in Superdrug, in fact i never knew they did their own range, i was in there the other day looking at perfumes,
I rarely visit Superdrug but I am not sure why. These look very pretty on the dressing table which is part of the appeal for me. Having a spritz when you jump out of the shower is a lovely way to start the day, especially if it doesn’t cost a fortune.
On a previous reply i said i didnt know Superdrug did these perfumes, well thank you for the heads up, went and brought a couple yesterday and i’m well impressed. Happy Christmas to you and your family
Hi Susan, oh brilliant – I am so glad you like them. Happy Christmas to you too! x
Does anyone know what the fresh spray is supose to be a dupe for it smells so nice but I canβt find anywhere where it says what dupe it is?
I’ve not managed to find this out yet – if I do I will definitely update the post!
