In October 2026 a box of 12 Maurten Gel 100 cost $45.00 at most online stores that carry it, from Maurten’s own site to the larger running retailers. The drink mix boxes lined up in the same way.
With the sticker price fixed, the cheapest store for an order is the one whose shipping charge and free-shipping minimum suit the size of that order. On a single gel box, the price with shipping included varied by almost $11 from one store to the next.
Why a Maurten box costs the same at most stores
Many brands ask stores not to list their goods below a set price, which is known as a minimum advertised price policy. Maurten publishes no such policy, but its box prices behave as if one applied. A Gel 100 box of 12 costs $45.00 on maurten.com and at Running Warehouse, Fuel Goods, Road Runner Sports and The Feed. The Drink Mix 160 box of 18 costs $45.00 at each of them too, and the Drink Mix 320 box of 14 costs $51.00. Heartbreak Hill Running Company is the one store here that prices some gel boxes lower.
The number that matters is the delivered price, which is the box price plus the store’s shipping charge. The stores below run from the lowest delivered price on one Gel 100 box to the highest.
1. The Feed
The Feed charges $45.00 for a Gel 100 box of 12. It ships every order within the contiguous United States free, with no minimum order, so a single box arrives at $45.00. No other store here with a published shipping charge came in lower for one box in October 2026.
The Maurten range on thefeed.com also includes sizes that maurten.com sells only to members or not at all. A single Gel 100 costs $4.00 and a Box of 6 costs $23.00. A Box of 48 costs $179.00, the same as Maurten’s own 48 box, which Maurten sells only to members of its free Membership. Drink Mix 160 comes in a box of 18 for $45.00.
Orders to Alaska, Hawaii and the territories do not get the free shipping, so buyers there need to price the order with shipping included before they compare stores.
Maurten points buyers in the United States to three online stores, and The Feed is one of them, along with Running Warehouse and Recovery for Athletes.
2. Heartbreak Hill Running Company
In October 2026 Heartbreak Hill Running Company sold the Gel 100 box online for $43.20. Its Gel 100 Caf 100 and Gel 160 boxes cost $50.00 each, and all three were below maurten.com. Orders under $100 pay a flat $5 for shipping, so one Gel 100 box arrives at $48.20. Orders over $100 ship free. The store also sells singles, such as the Gel 100 at $3.90, which Maurten’s store in the United States does not offer.
The lower prices stop at the gels. Drink Mix 160 costs $45.00 for a box of 18, the same as on maurten.com, and the other drink mix boxes match Maurten’s prices as well. The advantage grows with the share of gels in an order.
3. Running Warehouse
Running Warehouse sells the Gel 100 box and the Drink Mix 160 box of 18 at $45.00 each. Orders over $50 ship free by two-day delivery within the lower 48 states. Smaller orders pay $7.95, which puts one Gel 100 box at $52.95 delivered.
The store has a written price match. It refunds the difference when an authorized United States retailer posts a lower price within seven days of purchase, and it counts shipping in the comparison. It does not match marketplaces or third-party sellers. The store also says restrictions vary by brand, so a match on Maurten is not certain. Its discount codes leave out products whose makers limit how low the price can be advertised.
A second box, or any item that lifts the order past $50, removes the shipping charge and brings Running Warehouse level with The Feed.
4. Fuel Goods
Fuel Goods charges the same $45.00 for the Gel 100 box and the Drink Mix 160 box of 18, and it ships free from $75. Fuel Goods doesn’t post its charge for smaller orders, so there is no one-box figure for it here. Its Autoship & Save plan covers Maurten Gel 100 and Drink Mix 160. After a discounted first order, each later delivery takes 5% off, which brings a $45.00 box to $42.75 on a schedule of one, two or three months.
5. Maurten’s own store
Maurten, the Swedish company behind the hydrogel gels, sells its full range on maurten.com in boxes and kits. Shipping in the United States costs $10 on orders under $60, $5 from $60 and nothing from $100. So one Gel 100 box comes to $55.00 delivered. The Drink Mix 160 box of 18 costs $45.00 and the Drink Mix 320 box of 14 costs $51.00.
The United States store sells no single sachets. Its bulk option is a 48-gel box of Gel 100 for $179.00. Only members of the free Maurten Membership can buy it, and it saves $1 against four boxes of 12.
6. Road Runner Sports
Road Runner Sports sells the Gel 100 box and the Drink Mix 160 box of 18 at $45.00 each. It charges non-members $10.99 for standard shipping, so one Gel 100 box costs $55.99 delivered, the highest figure here. Its paid membership, which the store calls VIP, starts at $49.99 and gives 10% instant savings, 5% back in Rewards Cash and free shipping. The Maurten listings say member benefits apply, although the store’s written terms say the 10% is for shoes, clothes and accessories. The membership renews each year on its own.
Where the cheapest store changes with order size
Under $60
For one Gel 100 box, The Feed’s free shipping gives the lowest delivered price at $45.00. Heartbreak Hill comes to $48.20 and Running Warehouse to $52.95, although Running Warehouse ships free and matches The Feed once an order passes $50.
From $60 to $100
Two Gel 100 boxes cost $90.00 delivered at The Feed, Running Warehouse and Fuel Goods. The same order costs $91.40 at Heartbreak Hill and $95.00 on maurten.com. For a buyer who repeats it every month or two, the 5% on later Fuel Goods deliveries brings the price below the others.
Over $100
Above $100 Heartbreak Hill ships free, and its gel prices decide the result. Three Gel 100 boxes cost $129.60 there, against $135.00 at stores that charge Maurten’s price. A Road Runner Sports member would pay $121.50 if the listing’s member savings apply, before the membership fee is counted. Drink mix boxes cost the same at every store at this size.
