Top Summer Fridays Lip Balm Dupes

The Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm is pretty amazing. I admit I bought one just to see what all the hype is about, and I do love this product. It’s super glossy but feels just like a balm without any stickiness. However, the $24 price tag seems excessive to me for what it is so I started looking for Summer Friday Lip Balm dupes as more affordable alternatives. I’ve found some excellent products which match up, including my personal favorite Summer Fridays lip balm dupe, the Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm. Cay Skin Lip Balm is also another excellent option.

If you’re also looking for a similar product without the hefty cost, you’re in luck. I’ve given my full comparison below of some awesome drugstore alternatives to give you the same glossy finish, intense hydration and hint of color without breaking the bank.

Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm

This lip balm is only $10 which is a huge saving compared to Summer Fridays.

This vegan option boasts a blend shea butter, cupuaçu butter and plant squalane, delivering deep moisture with a subtle sheen. Plus, it’s cruelty-free.

It is so, so similar to Summer Fridays when on the lips and is non-sticky too. The glossiness is pretty much identical and I can’t tell them apart. Naturium’s balm is also extremely hydrating, just like the Lip Butter Balm, and it has a subtle sheen of color.

It’s always selling out and there’s a reason for this. It’s one of the best Summer Fridays dupes of all time and I recommend snapping this up when you can.

Cay Skin Lip Balm

I actually saw this mentioned in the comments of some TikTok videos so decided to pick one up. It’s $15 at Sephora so cheaper than SF, and with the added bonus of having SPF 30 in it.

This lip balm has nourishing ingredients like shea oil and aloe vera, and it comes in a variety of sheer colors. It has a very similar glossy finish to the Summer Fridays balm and just like that one is also non-sticky, but it’s much more affordable. 

I really like this for the day time because of the SPF. Summer Fridays doesn’t have this, and we all know how important sun protection is. Overall it’s a great drugstore dupe recommendation.

Saltair Lip Oil Balm

At only $9 this comes at an even more affordable price than Naturium. I don’t think this is quite as good as Naturium or Cay Skin but it is still one of the best dupes for Summer Friday’s Lip Butter Balm.

It leaves a glossy balm shine that is so close to Lip Butter Balm’s, and that same sheer tint of color. The ingredients are also incredibly close; Saltair’s balm contains natural moisturizers like coconut oil, murumuru, shea butter and plant-derived esters so it’s a very hydrating lip balm.

My main issue with this one is that it doesn’t last as long on the lips as Summer Fridays but that’s OK for the price.

Nudestix Hydra-Peptide Lip Butter

I know dupes are meant to be cheaper and at $20 this lip treatment is almost as much as Summer Fridays, but I have it in my stash and wanted to give a comparison anyway.

This lip treatment uses shea butter and avocado butter for long-lasting hydration and a glossy finish. It also comes in a small range of pretty tints to add a touch of color.

In terms of finish, they are very similar. They both have the look of a lip gloss but with the comfort of a lip balm. Where they differ is that Nudestix’s Lip Butter has peppermint oil in it. This gives a tingling effect and a very slight plumping sensation, but this does come with an irritancy risk. Personally I don’t really like tingling lip products so I don’t use this very often.

However, in many other ways it’s like Summer Fridays so you don’t need to buy that different product if you already have this lip balm from Nudestix.

I’ll have a hard time saying bye bye to my Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm when it’s finished but I’ll feel better buying from these budget-friendly brands to save money. Naturium for me is the best option because it gives such similar moisturizing benefits and non-sticky glossy shine but without the extra cost.
