A dupe of a fragrance is a copy (or a very close copy at least) of a more well-known perfume.
Many smaller high street brands are now making their own perfumes which are smell alikes of some famous ones.
For example, you may also like the perfume dupes from Lidl which include an amazing dupe of Jil Sander Sun Summer Edition, or the Delina dupes.

Frequently asked questions
Next Aura perfume is a copy of Thierry Mugler’s Alien perfume. Both perfumes have a similar sweet, ambery scent with notes of jasmine, sandalwood, and amber. They are extremely close when smelled side by side. Additionally, Next Aura is a lot less expensive than Alien.
Next Summer Sun perfume is an excellent dupe, or copy, of Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess perfume. Both perfumes have a similar warm, beachy scent with notes of coconut, amber, and sandalwood. Next’s perfume is much more affordable, however.
Sparkle by Next smells just like Dolce & Gabbana The One. The top notes of bergamot, mandarin, and pear give the perfume a bright and citrusy opening. The heart notes of jasmine, orange blossom, and muguet add a floral touch, while the base notes of amber, musk, and vanilla provide a warm and powdery finish.

Back in the 90s I used to love ‘Sempre’. I’d love to find out which branded perfume it was a dupe of. The closest one I found was Calvin Klein – Eternity for women.

Candied Flowers is similar to Armani Si but very weak. It’s not a dupe for Daisy Love unfortunately.
Daydreamer is similar to Lady Million.
Flowers is similar to Gucci Bloom and nothing like Marc Jacobs Daisy, it has no resemblance whatsoever to Daisy.
I’ve just bought Selene Minuit and trying to find out what it’s similar to, it’s a very heavy fragrance, not like anything I’ve tried before, it’s an Autumn/Winter fragrance for me.
I also have another of the new one’s called LOVE, its a dupe of CH Good Girl but lighter.

Chanel 19 is a little hard to find an affordable dupe for – most are just as expensive. Aldi however do an affordable version of Chanel No 5 called 5th Element 🙂

Have you tried Eden Perfumes? They are a vegan perfume company that do dupes of nearly every perfume and can do ones from scratch too.

Thanks for the list. Can confirm the signature tonic smelling like ysl le nuit de la Homme. Got my mrs to do a blind test after spraying each on my hands and the letting about 30 mins pass. She actually preferred the one from next.
