Vietnam has been known all across the globe for its tumultuous history but despite all that, it has been successfully able to bounce back and become one of the places which attract tourists from all across the globe. People come to explore Vietnam all year round and most of the revenue of the place is generated from the tourism industry.

Vietnam isn’t a very big country but it surely has a lot to offer to the tourists making it a popular tourist attraction. If you’re planning for a trip to Vietnam this is probably the right time to travel because all the borders are now open and most places won’t at all be crowded. If you’re planning your trip to Vietnam make sure to apply for a Vietnam visa so that you can get your visa in a short period.

 If you’re traveling to Vietnam then the major attractions will be Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. These places are Vietnam’s striking landmarks and if you’re visiting Vietnam then this is a must-go for you. Vietnam is known for being filled with rugged mountains in the west and sharing a border with Cambodia and Laos. The South China Sea is on the east side of the country which the Vietnamese call the East Sea. The north and south of the country are filled with deltas of the Red River and the Mekong. You will get to see all the paddy fields, buffaloes, dragonflies, and conical hatted farmers in these regions.

  • The unit of currency of Vietnam is dong and all transactions are done with this currency only. 
  • The country of Vietnam has a total of 95 million people of which one third is known to live in the countryside. 
  • Vietnam is known to have one of the highest rural population densities in entire Southeast Asia. Despite that fact, Vietnam has a literacy rate of about 95 per cent. 
  • The country encountered about 2 million tourists in the year 2000 and since then it has been rapidly increasing. 
  • In the year 2018 Vietnam hosted a total of about fifteen million tourists.

Where to go in Vietnam?

Vietnam isn’t a particularly big country but it has a lot of great places for travelers to explore, and some of the best places in Vietnam have the most incredible sites that are a must-see.

If you’re fond of trekking, then the Central Highlands will attract you. This is a perfect place for people who enjoy outdoor trekking in the mountains.

Exploring pancake-flat rice of the Mekong Deltas is also a tourist attraction for the people visiting Vietnam. There are also limestone forested islands which surely are quite beautiful and fun to explore.

Since there are some beautiful beaches in the county of Vietnam, a trip without exploring the beaches will surely be incomplete. 

When to travel to Vietnam?

Since the time borders have been opening up, people are planning their trips to Vietnam. Vietnam hugely relies on tourism and this is the reason why the government is approving visas so that travelers can come to explore the country. Since Vietnam is a long country and is spread across different zones the weather varies from place to place. In general, the country is known to have a tropical monsoon climate.

If you’re visiting the south of the country then the driest months tend to be between December and April. This is generally the spring season in the country. For travelers, Vietnam is a good place to travel all year round making it easier for people to plan trips here depending on their holidays.

 If you’re planning your travel during the holidays then the hotel prices will be a bit high in Vietnam because of the rush. It’s recommended that you book your hotel beforehand so that you can get a good deal on them. Vietnam is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and there are a lot of places here which are worth exploring for people. The country is known to be one of the most accommodating places to visit for travelers.
