Top 6 Tom Ford Lost Cherry Dupe Fragrances for 2024

Share this post:

Tom Ford Lost Cherry is one of the most popular Tom Ford fragrances, and for good reason, but did you know you can get a really good Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe for a fraction of the price?

Lost Cherry is a beautifully intoxicating blend of both warm and sweet notes that many people love, myself included. I adore the black cherry fragrance with its gorgeous sensual rose and bitter almond notes.

It’s from Tom Ford’s Private Blend collection and was created in 2018. Like many luxury fragrances, however, it comes with an extremely high price tag.

At $395 for a 50ml / 1.7oz bottle of perfume, this unisex fragrance is out of many people’s budget, and although it’s so lovely I’ve been hunting for a cheaper alternative.

Fortunately there are a growing number of Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupes on the market to help you save money.

What is a Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe?

This is a perfume which smell almost exactly like, or very close to, Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry.

The Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupes listed below are extremely similar to the real thing, and are all at a much lower price point.

This means it’s perfectly possible to find a very similar perfume match to Lost Cherry at a much more affordable price.

What does Lost Cherry smell like?

As the name suggests this is a cherry scent; in particular, black cherry.

The top notes are black cherry, bitter almond and cherry liqueur.

It has middle notes of Peru balsam, roasted tonka bean, Turkish rose and sweet cherry, alongside griotte syrup and jasmine sambac.

These are followed by the base notes of sandalwood, vetiver and cedar.

The Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe list

These dupes for Lost Cherry are the most popular clones of this scent.

In fact many of them have very similar names and comparative advertising, which lets you know these are intended to copy the syrupy goodness of Lost Cherry.

Alexandria Fragrances lost cherry dupe

Fructus Virginis by Alexandria Fragrances

Price: $62.99 for 55ml

In my opinion this is the best dupe for Tom Ford Lost Cherry perfume in a spray bottle. The price point is amazing, and it’s a parfum extrait too.

The main reason I love this dupe, aside from the fact that it is pretty much identical to the real thing, is that it lasts such a long time on the skin. It has excellent projection for such an affordable perfume, and (dare I say it) better sillage than the Tom Ford scent itself. 10/10 recommended!

oil dupe for tom ford lost cherry

Our Impression of Lost Cherry by Oil Perfumery

Price: $14.32 for 10ml

If you like oils then Lost Cherry by Oil Perfumery is your best bet. I have several rollerballs from this company, which are all copies of designer fragrances, and they hit the nail on the head every time.

This is also a good option if you like to wear something long lasting. It gives you identical top notes of cherry, along with that beautiful jasmine sambac and almond amaretto.

You can easily travel with these oil vials, and they are very inexpensive.

kayali burning cherry

Lovefest Burning Cherry | 48 by Kayali

Price: $89 for 50ml

This vegan-friendly scent is by Huda Beauty’s fragrance range, Kayali.

Lovefest Burning Cherry has fragrance notes which are very close to Lost Cherry making it a very similar scent. It’s one of my personal favorites from the Kayali range, and I find the main difference between this and the Tom Ford fragrance is that the sour cherry note has a touch more of a synthetic feel to it.

This is only very minimal, however, and I still recommend this perfume. The price difference is of course a huge bonus, and I get several more hours wear out of this than from Tom Ford perfumes.

Not Another Cherry by Fine’ry

Price: $27.99 for 60ml

This is an excellent Tom Ford dupe for such an awesome price point, so I just had to include this in my top picks. It is such a great perfume and comes in a very sleek and chic glass bottle which I think looks much more expensive than it is.

Not Another Cherry is a close to perfect dupe for Lost Cherry, with that incredible burst of cherry balanced out by the same Turkish rose note and bitter almond. It’s one of the best perfumes I’ve tried recently and it’s also cruelty free, clean and suitable for vegans.

For comparison purposes you can also get a cheaper body mist for $12.99 in this range if trying out a Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe for the first time.

ambery cherry perfume from dossier

Ambery Cherry by Dossier

$49 for 50ml

Dossier Ambery Cherry is this brand’s take on Lost Cherry, and of course they are a cheaper alternative. Dossier have made quite a name for themselves creating fragrance dupes, and they are also now sold at Walmart which is a huge advantage as you can go along and test them out in store.

It is such a good dupe that you’ll be hard pressed to tell the difference, and I personally can’t smell any difference between this and the nearly $400 bottle from Tom Ford.

Tom ford dupe Zara

Cherry Smoothie by Zara

Price: $35.90 for 80ml

Zara Cherry Smoothie perfume is another really famous Lost Cherry dupe. I have a list of every Zara perfume dupe out there if you’re planning on a Zara haul any time soon.

It is really gorgeous, with those exotic black cherry notes paired with warm spices that we get from the designer perfume.

Often we are just paying out for brand names when it comes to fragrances from designer brands, so I always try to find a good dupe if there’s a designer fragrance I really like. As Cherry perfumes go, Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry is probably one of the most famous but it’s so, so expensive that I’m not planning on repurchasing it once it runs out. I’ll be spritzing these dupes on repeat instead.

If you have a pricey love affair with Lost Cherry then there are lots more Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe options to help you save money, such as the ones from Chez Pierre and these affordable cherry blossom perfumes:

Cherry Punk by Room 1015 (available here)

Cherry Syrup by Proad (available here)

Cherry Smash by Alt Fragrances (available here)

Parfum de Cerise by Montagne Parfums (available here)

Frequently asked questions

What Zara perfume smells like Tom Ford Lost Cherry?

The perfect Lost Cherry dupe in Zara is called Cherry Smoothie. It smells so very similar to the real deal but it is much cheaper than the designer version, so I recommend trying it out next time you’re in a Zara store.

Why is Tom Ford Lost Cherry so expensive?

Lost Cherry has an irresistible blend of ingredients and fragrance notes which make it smell so good, and these are high quality so they do cost more to source and use than some other perfume ingredients. However, with a designer fragrance like this there’s a good chance you’re paying over the odds because of the brand name.

Is Tom Ford Lost Cherry masculine?

Lost Cherry by Tom Ford is a unisex scent so is designed to be worn by both men and women. It has the fruity and sweet scent of cherries, of course, but this is balanced out by spicy and gourmand notes like Peru balsam and almond making it a full-bodied perfume that appeals to both men and women.

Is Tom Ford Lost Cherry worth it?

In my opinion, it’s not worth buying Lost Cherry because I don’t find it has good sillage or longevity which you would expect for the very high price point. Instead, I recommend buying a cheaper dupe. Any of these suggested dupes, such as Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry or Not Another Cherry by Fine’ry, smell the same but will save you some serious cash.

I was gifted a bottle of Tom Ford Lost Cherry last year and I adored it. But I just can't bring myself to spend hundreds of dollars on another bottle. So, I did a google search for similar scents and found this post. I saw that you thought Alexandria was the best of all the dupes you recommend so ordered a bottle. It came in this week and I am in LOVE. It smells very similar to me to Lost Cherry and it is so much more affordable. Thank you, thank you!
