I had the same problem with an YSL fragrance from the early 90’s that was reworked if you will. Anyway you can go to Scentmatchers and they will duplicate fragrance for you. You get to choose your style bottle out of a few , name it and they will put that on also. It ran be 60’00 USD for a huge 3/4 oz bottle I am still using. I love Faerie also. I understand and I have obsessed forever with certain fragrances in my lifetime. It IS a thing for some of us. @Jenni Hinton, You mean the round rubber puck bottle? A dupe.. no there is not. But something that comes closest (for me at least) as an alternative is Prada Luna Rossa Black. It is marketed as a men’s fragrance, but what is gender in perfumery these days anyway, Right?
I still have a bottle but it is one of the last formulations (where they stopped using that fancy twist sprayer, and reformulated the scent to a slightly lighter version) and it compares to PLRB best of all the alternatives I’ve heard of.
There’s also Tè Nero from Speziali Fiorentini but that’s crazy hard to find. And Le Labo’s Patchouli 24 but trust me, it’s a (quite literal) smoke screen that is heavy on the birch tar (smoke) and lacks those wonderful lighter tea notes.

I have tried many dupes but nothing comes close, especially to Hot couture. Angel can still get away with reformulation, Hot couture never…it gives me the feeling only if i spray, none whatsoever after initial 1min…so sad i wish they would make these perfumes , the originals for countries that do not the laws and banned certain ingredients so we could still buy the originals…it may sound stupid or strange but i couldnt care less, i just want “my dear perfumes” back together with all memories and emotions they entice…thank you for listening!

Gardenia is the dupe for Black Opium . I have never seen Gardenia bloom but perhaps it is one of the flankers for Black Opium. I own the dupe and the YSL Black Opium. Tge Zara i Gardenia s a bit lighter than the Black Opium but it is the same fragrance.

Such a shame that Beyond Paradise was discontinued! I don’t know of any dupes for that one unfortunately. Le Jardin by Max Factor is fairly similar to Anais Anais though, if you can find that.

@Quanna Brown, Hi Quanna, I don’t have an exact dupe for that unfortunately. I have seen people say that Zara’s Aromatic Future smells like it, but also like Dior Sauvage due to the similarities between those two designer fragrances. You can sometimes pick Aromatic Future up on eBay. Hope that helps a little!
WOW!! I just ran out of my Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, and the idea of spending close to $100 did not entice me at all. I will buy the Applejuice from Zara.

I know big designers (Prada, LV) have secondary lines that they do not advertise and put the same items on the market. I wonder if they they the same with fragrances too.

Applejuice is one of my favorites! It’s well worth getting over the Chanel. I’ve often wondered about this too; either Zara is working with the original perfumers to create these dupes or they are just really, really good at making fragrance clones.

Hi Ela, this one is a little hard to discover unfortunately. It’s quite close to Glossier You but not exactly the same. You could try that though to see if it works for you!
