That’s incredibly impressive and just goes to show how well loved it is.

Face Base is a primer and moisturizer hybrid that performs both tasks at the same time.
It contains some really lovely, skin-friendly ingredients that keep it in the skincare realm, but it is also a makeup product.

However, Bobbi Brown’s Face Base is one of those products that people, including me, hate to love.

This Revolution primer is designed to work in exactly the same way as the Bobbi Brown version.
This is also a daily use moisturizer with all the benefits of a primer, just like Bobbi Brown.
In fact it’s such an incredible dupe because many of the key ingredients are the same.
Revolution’s Face Base dupe also contains hyaluronic acid, shea butter and vitamins B, C and E. I love using this cream and it rivals the Bobbi Brown version easily.
This is a cruelty free product that also happens to be suitable for vegans.

If you have a sensitive or dry skin type and need a Bobbi Brown Face Base dupe, this is perfect.
Although the ingredients are not particularly similar, both Lano’s Face Base and Bobbi Brown’s work in exactly the same way.
The Face Base from Lano is an everyday moisturizer which allows for the smoothest makeup application. I love how my skin feels when I wear this. It feels protected and like it has an invisible barrier against the elements.
It also works as a primer by gripping on to makeup, keeping it in place all day while keeping skin plump and moisturized underneath.
The main ingredient is lanolin which is (humanely) sourced from sheep wool.
It also contains colloidal oatmeal which has a really soothing effect on sensitive skin.
Lano’s Bobbi Brown dupe also contains Vitamin E, and is a cruelty free option.

This moisturizer and primer hybrid has had a lot of attention on TikTok recently and gets amazing reviews, so I had to try it.
Just like Bobbi Brown’s Face Base, you can wear this alone as a moisturizer or under foundation as a primer.
Hyaluronic acid and avocado oil give it the skin-nourishing qualities of a moisturizer.
It’s also got glycerin which forms a barrier on the skin that makeup can grip to, and it claims to blur the look of pores too. I can confirm this is true – my pores did look less visible using this cream.
It gives really smooth makeup application with a slightly dewy finish which is great for dry skin.
Although this is not the cheapest dupe on the list by far there is a significant price difference between this and Bobbi Brown’s Face Base.
4. Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré
This is technically a moisturizer but it works as a very good dupe for the Bobbi Brown Face Base.
Lots of people use this as their makeup primer as well as their moisturizer. I have been using this product for years after first seeing it on a Pixiwoo YouTube makeup tutorial.
It has very soothing and skin softening ingredients like shea butter, aloe and soy proteins.
The product works to calm skin while forming a protective, hydrating barrier that dries down to seal in moisture and create a smooth base for foundation.
It’s one of the more expensive products on my list of Bobbi Brown Face Base dupes but still costs a lot less than Bobbi Brown.

5. Aldi Lacura Vitabase Moisturising Primer
Aldi is well known for its dupes for makeup and skincare, and this Bobbi Brown Face Base dupe went viral when it was launched. Of course, I rushed to my local Aldi to grab a pot before it sold out.
This Aldi product has incredibly similar ingredients to Bobbi Brown’s primer.
These are hyaluronic acid alongside vitamin C, vitamin B, vitamin E & shea butter.
Aldi’s dupe also has the same scent as Face Base which comes from geranium and grapefruit extract.
Even the packaging looks almost the same.
If you can find this product in Aldi stores or online you have struck gold.
Like many viral Aldi products this sold out almost instantly, but they do re-release a lot of their products every few months so keep an eye out.
6. Primark Vitamin Enriched Moisturising Primer
This is a Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base dupe that caused a stampede to Primark stores when it launched.
It sold out really quickly but can often now be found in store and also on eBay.
It contains similar ingredients to the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base primer such as shea butter and Vitamins C and E.
There’s also the added bonus of niacinamide in this dupe which helps to fade age spots and pigmentation over time.
Reviewers state that their skin looks just the same with the Primark version as it does with Bobbi Brown’s moisturizing primer and I agree. It’s soothing, hydrating and leaves a nice protective barrier on the skin which isn’t greasy. I also really like the little pot.
The Primark dupe for Bobbi Brown Face Base is extremely affordable and is a cruelty free option.

Being from Glossier this is more expensive than a drugstore brand, but this all-in-one primer and moisturizer is just over half the price of Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base.
There’s no denying that Bobbi Brown’s Face Base is an excellent product that holds makeup in place all day while nourishing the skin underneath.
It does come with a very high price tag as you’d expect from brand names like Bobbi Brown.
Fortunately you can save some serious cash with any of these Bobbi Brown Face Base dupes.
