RapidLash and RapidBrow Review: Before and After Photos

Last updated: April 26, 2024

Rapidlash and RapidBrow are daily application serums which claim to give you thicker lashes and fuller brows. Despite not being cheap, they are still a fraction of the cost of a lot of the lash serums and brow serums out there. But do they work?

I used these products for the recommended timeframe, and here are my RapidLash results and RapidBrow before and after photos.

rapidlash vs rapidbrow

About RapidLash and RapidBrow

Many of us want longer lashes and thicker eyebrows. Whether your lash and brow hair just don’t grow very well, or you have been a victim of the 90s overplucking trend, it’s not uncommon to want to improve the overall appearance of lashes and eyebrow hair.

In 2008 RapidLash released their RapidLash Eyelash Enhancing Serum to the mass market. This Eyebrow Growth serum is designed to enhance the growth of your natural lashes. It can help them to become stronger, longer and thicker.

Its sister product, the RapidBrow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum, can be used on brows to help fill them in and grow them longer.

How does RapidLash work?

RapidLash contains a compound called Hexatein 1 Complex. This contains pumpkin seed extract, biotin, panthenol, beneficial amino acids and polypeptides (including copper tripeptide-1). It also contains soybean oil,

RapidBrow contains their innovative Hexatein 2 Complex, which is polypeptides, keratin, biotin, panthenol, and apple fruit cell extract.

Both are designed to stimulate new growth of the hair and extend the life of each hair. This results in both fuller lashes and brows.

They no longer use isopropyl cloprostenate as their active ingredient, which was related to bimatoprost. Bimatoprost, used to treat the eye-related disorder glaucoma, has several possible side effects. As a result RevitaLash and RevitaBrow are now much gentler and safer to use as a cosmetic product.

How to apply RapidLash and RapidBrow

The RadidLash applicator brush is a long, thin brush which you smooth across the base of the upper eyelashes from the inner corner of the eye outwards. This deposits the active ingredients right into the base of your eyelashes where the lashes grow from.

RapidBrow has more of a mascara-style applicator, so is thicker in width and covers a wider area. This makes it easier to deposit more product across your entire eyebrow area.

They are both clear formulas so you can’t see them.

Edited to add: these photos were taken in 2018 and the packaging has changed very slightly since then. They still contain the same formula in 2022.

How long do RapidLash and RapidBrow take to work?

It’s recommended that you should apply both products every single day. RapidBrow can be used twice a day, so once in the morning and then once again at night. RapidLash should only be used once a day at nighttime.

The manufacturer recommends that you apply them every morning (RapidBrow only) and every single night for a minimum of 8 weeks to see the full results. It’s suggested that you will start to see results sooner than that though.

Can you use RapidLash on eyebrows, and RapidBrow on eyelashes?

RapidLash are fairly explicit on their website that the two products are not designed to be used interchangeably on lashes or brows and that you should only use the correct product in the designated location.

I have seen several reviews, however, where people state they used only one of these products on both lashes and brows. My advice is to be extra careful with this. Although both products claim to be gentle and are both used around the eye area, exercise caution particularly if deciding to use RapidBrow on the lashline.

Is RapidLash cruelty free?

The company states that all of their products are cruelty free and not tested on animals.

This does not mean that the original ingredients have not been tested on animals by another company. Unfortunately I’ve been unable to clarify any further about this. However RapidLash itself does not test its finished products on animals.

My RapidLash and RapidBrow results

I have very fine eyelashes and eyebrows. They’re fairly dark, but so fine that the colour is not very noticeable. I wouldn’t say my eyelashes are short, more just an average length. They are not particularly full in my opinion.

My eyebrows are not too sparse but again not thick and full.

Here are my before and after photos from my 60 day trial. For reference, I had not used any lash or brow growth products for at least a year before starting this trial. I also use the same mascara in the before and after photos.

With Mascara

does rapid lash really work

I think the most obvious difference in these are my eyebrows. They are much darker and thicker after 60 days. I had noticed that I was having to pluck them constantly as they have been growing in at all angles really quickly, especially in the last two to three weeks when I was seeing the best results come in.

With my lashes, the most obvious difference without mascara is that they are very slightly darker. It’s only when I put mascara on that I can see a difference in the length. The outer corners look longer in particular, and also they appear thicker as you can see less of my lashline.

It’s a subtle change but a very welcome one. There does seem to be more growth in the inner corners too.

The verdict on RapidLash and RapidBrow

I am impressed with the ease of use of both of the products. Both are very quick and easy to apply. I had to be a little careful applying RapidBrow in the mornings as too much would sometimes lead to it building up and flaking slightly throughout the day.

I had no eye irritation or side effects whatsoever from either of them. There were no detrimental effects in terms of stinging or a red stain where they were applied.

In terms of results, I can’t get over the change in my brows. They are so much darker and thicker. The length of my eyelashes increased as well which I’m so pleased about.

The change is quite subtle but it’s very natural. I also like how the lashes have kept their fullness and shape. Other products I’ve used in the past have caused a little bit of unevenness as some lashes grew much faster than others.

I think these are a fantastic option if you want to enhance your brows and the look of your lashes. They do encourage growth and thickness in a really lovely, natural way.

Over the years I have used a few different kinds of eyelash and eyebrow growth products.

In fact here is a RevitaBrow before and after review.

Most of these have either been extremely expensive products that actually worked, or very cheap but have not worked at all. It’s really hard to find these kind of products at an affordable price with effective ingredients that actually work.

The market was flooded with cheap fakes of products like Lilash a few years back, making it not only a waste of money to buy them as they actually did nothing, but also making them risky as you didn’t know what was in them. These types of products, especially an eyelash serum, should always be bought from reputable retailers and brands.

Brows all the way. I actually love my eyelashes as I’m lucky enough to have thick, long ones but my eyebrows are stubborn growers, with one growing much quicker than the other and not at all in some places, from years of overplucking. I am in major need of something like this so I can have them professionally shaped.
